About the Markel/USEF Young Horse Training Session

The Markel/USEF Young Horse Training Session is the first of a series of USEF training sessions open to talented Riders and Young Horses ages 4-6 who are preparing for Markel/USEF Young Horse Competition in 2012.  The trainin session is also open to a select number of auditors. The format is designed to help riders, trainers, owners and breeders assess the performance potential of young horses and to properly develop young horses with strategies for successful training and competition.   Scott will address the quality of gaits and training necessary to make the FEI Young Horse Tests a realistic goal.   The weekend will be a clinic format with brief Q&A sessions conducted after each ride or age group.  Refreshments and lunch will be provided each day.

Saturday session will include a late afternoon slide show and lecture presented by Scott Hassler.

Scott Hassler and Hallye Griffin from the USEF will join riders, owners and sponsors for a dinner discussion on Saturday evening, Feb.18.2012.
